Hungarian Partridge

These sporty birds offer some great shooting and have recently been expanding their range into larger portions of our farm ground. In addition to the increasing wild population, we are now stocking a few Huns.

These birds are hunted strictly incidental to our daily pheasant hunt. We do not set up hunts specifically for Huns but they are always an exciting bonus when a covey flushes during a pheasant hunt.

Self-guided Pheasant Hunts

Are you an experienced bird hunter that prefers to hunt at your own pace?  One of our late-season unguided hunts might be a great fit for an affordable getaway. These hunts an excellent chance to get your dog on lots of birds and are popular with family groups. Available from late November through January, each hunt includes lodging, and all our ground to hunt on. The pheasants are mighty spooky by this time and you need to be prepared to work hard as well as possibly put up with cold weather. Success is usually excellent, especially when the party consists of at least four hunters. We book only one party at a time, show them around the grounds and turn them loose.  Unguided groups have exclusive use of our Lodge and entire farm.

Expanding your daily limit

Wild pheasants are the bread and butter of our outfit. However, many of our clients are interested in continuing to hunt once the standard daily limit of 3 birds per day is met.  We have a program to accommodate.

Over 2,000 acres of our habitat qualifies as a hunting preserve and we use this area to extend the hunting season as well as harvest extra birds. We release our birds very early in the fall and by hunting season they are indistinguishable from the wild population.
